ING Germany remains the tenant of Frankfurt office building “Poseidon” and will continue to use the space as its headquarters until 2028. The long-term lease agreement began 2013 and had a duration until 2026.
Prior to ING’s occupancy, Deka Immobilien carried out extensive conversion and revitalisation measures on the former “Poseidon” building over a period of about two years. Deka Immobilien invested approximately EUR 100 million in the property, which is part of the real estate assets of the Deka-ImmobilienEuropa open-ended fund. Internally, ING has named the building “LEO” in reference to the ING lion.
The Poseidon building offers a generous leasable area of over 40,000 sqm, including technical and storage spaces, and holds the LEED Platinum environmental certification. Users have access to more than 400 parking spaces and 40 bicycle parking spaces. The office building is located in a prime location at Theodor-Heuss-Allee 2, opposite the Festhalle and Messeturm.
