Deka Immobilien has acquired the newly built Project Nanteuil logistics property in Nanteuil-le-Haudouin, a town on the outskirts of Paris, France, for WestInvest TargetSelect Logistics.
Located around 20 kilometres from Charles de Gaulle Airport, a major European freight hub, the site chosen for the flagship project comprises a total leasable area of 93,500 sqm (90,000 sqm of warehouse and 3,000 sqm of office/communal space) and is fully leased to the transport and logistics company Groupe SeD. The commercial property is superbly integrated into the regional infrastructure through links to France’s freight corridor, which is served by the A1 and A104 motorways.
In 2021, Deka Immobilien had already exchanged contracts to secure the purchase of the development project on an off-plan basis for the logistics sector fund. The property represents a new generation of buildings with high sustainable added value and is set to receive a Very Good sustainable construction rating from BREEAM.
The new logistics building possesses one of the largest photovoltaic power units in France. The roof has 32,000 sqm of solar panels with an output up to 6 MWp – enough to power 1,400 households in France every year.
