The DC Tower, which at 250 m is Austria’s tallest office building and also one of the slimmest skyscrapers in the world, is now fully leased. The building combines architecture and sustainability with state-of-the-art functionality. The DC Tower opened in February 2014 and has been owned by Deka Immobilien Investment GmbH since 2017. Interest in this impressive building with views of Vienna and the Danube was very high from the beginning, and a large part of the space was rented out very early on. Today, an optimal mix of 31 tenants from various industries such as pharmaceuticals, mobile communications, banks, management consulting, a 5-star design hotel and the steel industry have made the DC Tower their home. The building acquired by Deka Immobilien offers a leaseable area of 75,000 sqm on 60 floors, of which around 60% are high-quality office spaces.
The building can accommodate approximately 6,500 people and has excellent local amenities and transportation infrastructure. The extensive amenities include a wide range of services such as the free-to-use DC Lounge, a bicycle workshop, lockers and showers for sports activities, a laundry service and high-quality catering options. A highlight is the free electric mobility fleet with cars, e-bikes, scooters and cargo bikes. The electric cars can be reserved and rented through an app.
The DC Tower was one of the first Austrian office towers to be built according to the European Commission’s energy and sustainability criteria for “green buildings” and awarded Platinum certification according to LEED©. In April 2022, another sustainable initiative was implemented by creating a home for 200,000 bees on the roof of the food court.
