A building is – by and large – static. It is definitely not a property, with everything that happens in and around it. This liveliness inspires me. Managing a property is a highly dynamic task. As a property manager, I have a wide variety of tasks and challenges every day, some of which change in an instant. No two days are the same. The processes are very complex and are influenced by the type of building, its use, and tenant structure – and the level of responsibility is just as high as the property itself. In the case of Tower 185 in Frankfurt, for example, we are talking about a height of around 200 metres, 102,440 square metres of space, four owners, four funds and 27 international tenants. As a property manager, I am always on-the-go as a caretaker, decision-maker, visionary, organiser, communicator, and solution finder. I currently manage 48 properties with the regional Deka team and two properties myself, one of which is quite large. As an enthusiastic sportswoman – I used to do gymnastics and rowing, now cycling, yoga, and alpine hiking – this agile way of working suits me very well. I can work flexibly from anywhere and connect with my interdisciplinary “Tower People” and the other teams.
